Judith Haudum grew up in Linz, Austria. She holds a master’s degree in sport nutrition, sport science (sports biomechanics) as well as in Italian studies. She completed her sport nutrition master’s in Salt Lake City, Utah (USA), while she finished her other two master’s programs in Salzburg (Austria). She has worked with many elite athletes from Europe and the United States. In her career she has worked in a variety of settings, including the University of Salzburg, University of Utah, Private University for Health Sciences, Medical Informatics and Technology (Hall in Tirol), Olympic Training Center Linz and Salzburg-Rif (Austria) and The Orthopedic Specialty Hospital (TOSH) in Murray, Utah (USA). Judith is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, the Sports and Cardiovascular Nutritionists practice group, the Austrian Society of Sport Nutrition (Österreichische Gesellschaft für Sporternährung), the Federation of European Nutrition Societies, the American College of Sports Medicine, the Professionals in Nutrition for Exercise and Sport group, the EuropeanCollege of Sport Science and the International Society of Biomechanics in Sports. She is also a member of the expert panel of the Austrian Society of Sport Nutrition (Österreichische Gesellschaft für Sporternährung) and is a certified ISAK anthropometrist. Judith’s more renowned athletes include members of the Austrian Soccer League (Bundesliga), Austrian Cycling Federation (ÖRV), Austrian Skiing Association (ÖSV), Unione Cycliste International (UCI) and US Speed Skating (USA).
Dr. Sven C. Voss is heading the biological section in the Doping Analysis Lab of the Anti-Doping Lab Qatar. His previous jobs included working at the Aspire Academy for Sports Excellence in Qatar and the Institute of Biochemistry of the German Sport University. Sven’s major research interest is related to anti-doping, biomarkers, exercise physiology and biochemistry. With a good publication record in these fields, Sven is on the editorial boardof the Journal of Sports Medicine and Physical Fitness. He is also a reviewer for several journals and a member of the World Association of Anti-Doping Scientists, the International Society for Exercise and Immunology, the European College of Sports Science and the Growth Hormone Research Society. He holds certificates in ISO 17025 and participated in anti-doping testing at big international events, including the Summer Olympic Games.
James Morton is a leader in exercise metabolism and nutrition at Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU). As a researcher, he has received research awards from both the British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences and the European College of Sport Sciences. James’ specific research interests focus on the molecular and cellular responses of human skeletal muscle to acute and chronic exercise and the impact of diet and nutrition on modulating these responses. To date, he has authored over 100 research publications in the fields of sports nutrition, physiology and metabolism as well as numerous books and book chapters on these topics. In addition to research, James also works in elite professional sport in both sports physiology and nutrition support roles. From 2010-2015, he was the performance nutritionist to Liverpool FC and also specialised in providing nutritional and conditioning support to a range of professional boxers, MMA athletes and jockeys. Since December 2014, James has acted as head of nutrition for Team Sky, leading the nutrition strategy for the 2015, 2016 and 2017 Tour de France victories. He also directs nutrition-related research projects for the English Institute of Sport (EIS) and is director of World Class Knowledge for Science in Sport (SiS).

Lisa McDowell, MS, RD, CSSD, is the team dietitian for the Detroit Red Wings and works with Olympic, collegiate and other pro athletes. She is certified as a sports specialist and has obtained ISAK accreditation. She has a passion for fresh, nutritious, micronutrient-dense food, and enjoys sharing her knowledge with professional athletes to improve performance. Lisa applies the science behind sports nutrition and translates rigorous scientific research into optimising meal planning for the sports teams and athletes she works with. Lisa has provided nutrition guidance to elite athletes, artists, Grammy-winning musicians, actors and CEOs. In addition to her work in sports nutrition, Lisa maintains her clinical expertise as the director of nutrition at St. Joseph Mercy Health System in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Lisa helped start a 25-acre organic farm on the hospital campus to improve the food served to patients and employees. Lisa was recognized as a Health Care Hero by Crain’s Detroit Business for her efforts in fighting obesity and improving access to fresh food. Lisa also was recognised as the Michigan Dietitian of the Year. Most recently, Lisa has worked with St. Joseph Mercy Health System’s partnership with the Detroit Lions, Red Wings, Tigers and Pistons to help brand healthy food choices at their stadium venues – bringing healthy nutrition into the community.
António Pedro Mendes obtained his bachelor’s in nutritional sciences at the University of Porto and is currently pursuing a PhD in clinical and sports nutrition. He is a sports nutritionist at Futebol Clube do Porto, supporting the club’s different athletes and sports such as handball, basketball, roller hockey, swimming and football. He is also the head of nutrition of the sports and physical activity unit at Clínica do Dragão, Espregueira-Mendes Sports Centre – FIFA Medical Centre of Excellence, supporting world-class athletes from combat sports to different gymnastic categories. He is a professor of sports nutrition at the health sciences department at the Polytechnic of Leiria and a lecturer in the sports nutrition field at national and international scientific conferences.
Fabio Buzzanca is a fitness coach and a nutritional performer. He is an Italian Tennis Federation consultant. He already works with the Ukrainian tennis player Lesia Tsurenko, number 23 of WTA ranking.
Costas Lapsanis is the strength and conditioning coach for the Promitheas Patras, Greek professional basketball club competing in the Greek League (A1) and Basketball Champions League. His responsibilities include physical preparation and performance nutrition for the men’s team, collaboration with the medical staff on injury rehabilitation and prevention, and supervision of the young athlete’s development program. Costas received his bachelor’s degree in sport science from the University of Athens. He has 11 years of experience, working as a strength and conditioning coach and as a basketball coach. He also studies physiotherapy at the University of Western Greece.
Dr. Lutz Graumann, who has an MD and a PhD, is a specialist in sports medicine, nutrition and chirotherapy with a focus on performance enhancement. He is the founder of Sportmedizin Rosenheim and Quest Vitality. He is the team physician of the German Ice Hockey Federation. He is also the head of education at Blackroll and the author of the best-selling book, Functional Fascial Training with Blackroll. He is a lecturer at the German Armed Forces Leadership Academy in Hamburg. Enhancing performance has always been the focus of Lutz’s work. Starting his medical career in 1994, he soon realised that his desires in the professional field were close to those of his private life: sports. Challenges dominated his work and private life after accepting a full scholarship from the German Bundeswehr. Working with different pro athletes, special forces, fighter pilots and leadership groups, he has learned that training methods and nutritional concepts have varying impacts on the individual.

Rodrigo Abreu has been a sports nutritionist since 2002, when he started working in a Portuguese first league club. Since 2015, he has been responsible for meals and nutrition strategies of all Portuguese soccer teams (male and female, including futsal and beach soccer). He is currently finishing his PhD in clinical nutrition, with research projects regarding nutritional support in football.
Daniel Davey is the senior performance nutritionist for the Dublin senior football team and Leinster Rugby. Daniel also works as a performance nutritionist with a host of elite athletes in a range of sports such as golf and athletics. He is the co-founder of the popular online nutrition platform ‘FoodFlicker’, which aims to help educate people about nutrition using simple meal ideas through photo and video. Daniel received his bachelor’s in science from University College Dublin and holds a master’s in nutrition, physical activity and public health from the University of Bristol. Daniel is also a certified strength and conditioning specialist (C.S.C.S) with the NSCA and has completed the national qualification in exercise and health studies. His primary focus is developing individualised nutrition strategies for achieving specific performance-related goals. He also believes that enhancing athletes’ understanding of appropriate nutrition practices is vitally important for long-term optimum health outside of sport. In order to achieve this, he believes in providing this information in an understandable, practical and enjoyable manner. Daniel is a committed athlete himself and has played Gaelic football at intercounty level for Sligo and won an All-Ireland club football medal in 2016 with Ballyboden St. Enda’s in Dublin. His own playing and training experience allows him to understand the practical implications of applying the science of sports nutrition to achieve peak physical condition and performance in sport.
Lena Kadlec is a sports scientist and sports nutritionist with a strong background in teaching students and consulting professional athletes from different sports at the German Sport University in Cologne and German Olympic Committee. Due to her passion, she specialises in nutrition for golf players. She has already presented her experience at the World Scientific Congress of Golf in Scotland. She is also part of the PGA of Germany.
As the performance nutritionist for Arsenal Football Club, Richard Allison's role is to enhance player health, performance and recovery through nutrition and training. Richard has previously worked in a sports medicine setting as well as for many teams and individual elite athletes. He is an expert in nutrition for injured athletes, and in his PhD thesis he studied the impact of vitamin D on athlete health and performance.
Katarzyna Janiszewska has 13 years of experience as a National Olympic Taekwondo fighter. She is an author, sports nutrition scientist and lecturer at the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn, Poland. After completing her PhD about pre-competition weight loss in taekwondo, she created a unique nutrition training program for coaches. In World Taekwondo Europe she spreads the knowledge about health-centered precompetition weight loss by her international speaking tour. She also helps different athletes to develop their weight management programs and individual nutrition plans. As a European leader in sports nutrition, in 2018 she became a committee member of the European Specialist Dietetic Network for Sports and Physical Activity created by European Federation of the Associations of Dietitians.
Suzane is a nutritionist with nearly 20 years of experience in sports nutrition, both as a practitioner in her early career, and as a professional in the sports foods and supplements industry. She was also the long-standing vice-chair for the European Specialist Sports Nutrition Alliance (ESSNA), from 2010 to 2017, directly influencing the legislation of sports nutrition foods in Europe.
Suzane graduated with a master’s degree in sports nutrition from Loughborough University, UK, and with an MSc in food regulatory affairs from the University of Ulster, NI. Today, Suzane is the director of nutrition communication for the business unit health and nutrition at GELITA AG. Headquartered in Eberbach, Germany, GELITA are global leaders in bioactive collagen peptides for skin health, joint health and, most recently, sports nutrition.Suzane promotes the fast-advancing science behind the use of specific bioactive collagen peptides for optimal health and performance, as well as their potential to make a real difference to people’s quality of life.
Dr. Janne Prawitt is the scientific director of Peptan at Rousselot responsible for the nutrition and health science portfolio that supports the company's products of the collagen range. Being a nutritional scientist by education, Janne has spent 10 years in academic research in Germany and France, investigating mechanisms that contribute to the development of metabolic diseases such as obesity and diabetes. In 2013, Janne joined Rousselot, where her work focusses on extending the scientific evidence for collagen in musculoskeletal health and skin physiology and on building scientific ground for the development of new health applications and new products for the global market.
